The Taj-ul-Masajid of Bhopal is India's and Asia's largest mosque.
- Nawab Shah Jahan Begum built the mosque between 1868 and 1901, but it was never finished due to a lack of funds.
- Restarted in 1971 by Sultan Jahan Begum and completed in 1985
- Thousands of worshippers fill the vast courtyard of Taj-ul-Masajid. The pink facade of the mosque is topped by two 18-story high octagonal minarets with marble domes, an impressive main hallway with attractive pillars, and marble flooring reminiscent of the Delhi's Jama Masjid and Lahore's Badshahi Mosque.
